WSP is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal – Crowd Transport Modeller to lead and deliver complex pedestrian modelling assignments across the UAE and wider Middle East region. This senior role will support with crowd movement simulations for high-profile clients.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, leadership capability, and proven experience working within the Middle East transport planning environment.


  • Lead the development and delivery of crowd movement models for major infrastructure and urban development projects.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring high-quality outputs, technical excellence, and timely delivery.
  • Oversee crowd modelling assignments, including scenario analysis, pedestrian flow assessments, and safety/evacuation modelling for major venues and public spaces.
  • Coordinate with planners, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to support integrated mobility solutions.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, modelling outputs, and client presentations.
  • Engage effectively with government authorities and major clients across the UAE and Middle East.
  • Support business development activities including proposal preparation, bid submissions, and client meetings.
  • Mentor and develop junior modelling and transport planning staff.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 6-12 years of professional experience in transport modelling, with at least several years at senior/principal level.
  • Strong proficiency in crowd modelling tools such Legion, Viswalk, MLSAT, MassMotion and other transport analysis software.
  • Experience using GIS to develop Urban Network Analysis at a city scale level to identify pedestrian desire lines.
  • Proven experience working on major transport and mobility projects in the UAE or wider Middle East region (preferred but not essential).
  • Solid understanding of multi-modal transport planning, microsimulation, junction modelling, and demand forecasting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and present complex modelling outputs clearly.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
