Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Project Manager. This position will be located in Roy, UT . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization.
Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks.
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
Most assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization.
Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction.
Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
Principal Project Manager: 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Sr. Principal Project Manager: 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP Certification.
Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review.
Ability to provide and implement solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
Experience with CAM responsibilities.
Experience in DoD programs.
Ability to obtain SAP clearance.
Experience working RCCAs.
Experience in operating within Six Sigma principles.
