About the Practice

La Tanya Wallace, NP & Associates is a trauma-informed mental health and integrative care practice providing psychotherapy, medication management, insurance-based services through our Associates model, and self-pay therapy intensives and functional medicine services. We serve adults across multiple states and emphasize ethical, evidence-informed, whole-person care.

As part of our growth, we are actively updating our websites to expand and clarify our functional medicine and intensive offerings while continuing to support our insurance-based Associates practice.

Role Overview

This is an SEO-first, part-time marketing role supporting two related websites with distinct audiences and positioning:

  • An insurance-based Associates practice
  • A self-pay intensive and functional medicine practice

You will be responsible for guiding SEO strategy, supporting website optimization, and coordinating ethical healthcare marketing efforts across both sites. You will work closely with the practice owner, a web developer implementing site updates, and a virtual assistant who supports execution.

This role is ideal for a marketer who understands healthcare nuance, differentiated client intent, and sustainable organic growth.

Key Responsibilities

SEO and Website Optimization

  • Develop and maintain distinct SEO strategies for insurance-based services and self-pay intensive and functional medicine offerings
  • Conduct keyword research aligned with client intent and ethical healthcare marketing
  • Guide on-page SEO including page structure, headers, metadata, internal linking, and content hierarchy
  • Collaborate with the web developer to ensure SEO best practices are implemented during site updates
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities to improve organic search visibility across both sites

Content Direction and Oversight

  • Outline SEO-driven content topics for website pages and blogs for each service model
  • Write or edit core website copy as needed, or provide clear guidance for content creation
  • Ensure all messaging is accurate, trauma-informed, ethical, and clinically appropriate

Marketing Coordination

  • Coordinate organic content across websites, email, and social platforms
  • Provide finalized instructions and materials to a virtual assistant for formatting, uploading, and scheduling
  • Track content publishing and basic SEO performance indicators using available tools

Paid Visibility Support

  • Support modest Google or Meta ad efforts as needed
  • Ensure paid ads align with SEO strategy and website messaging
  • Monitor performance at a high level and recommend adjustments

Important Boundaries

This role does not involve providing clinical services, medical advice, or treatment recommendations. All marketing activities must comply with ethical and professional standards for mental health and healthcare practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Based in the United States
  • Proven experience with SEO for healthcare, wellness, or professional services
  • Strong understanding of on-page SEO and content strategy
  • Experience collaborating with web developers
  • Ability to manage differentiated messaging and SEO strategies for multiple service models
  • Ability to translate complex clinical and integrative services into clear, search-friendly language
  • Comfortable working in a lean, clinician-led practice environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, Journalism, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent practical experience accepted, such as 2–4 years of SEO or content strategy work with a portfolio and measurable results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing mental health or functional medicine services
  • Familiarity with local and multi-state SEO considerations
  • Experience supporting private practices or self-pay service models
  • Working knowledge of Google Search Console and analytics tools
