SEO Content Specialist (Part-Time / Contractor)

We are looking for a part-time / contract SEO Content Specialist to support our team with content production and optimization efforts across a diverse client portfolio. This role is primarily focused on content development, but also includes light support across broader SEO initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Generate blog content using AI tools and refine it to meet brand voice and quality standards
• Humanize, edit, and SEO-optimize AI-generated content to ensure originality, readability, and performance
• Publish and format content within various content management systems (CMS), mostly Wordpress
• Perform keyword research and apply on-page SEO best practices
• Assist in developing content calendars and keyword strategies
• Support basic backlink outreach or link acquisition efforts as needed
• Track and log completed deliverables across assigned accounts
• Collaborate with internal SEO managers on content direction and priorities
• Manage assigned tasks and deadlines across multiple client accounts
• Continuously improve content workflows, prompts, and optimization processes
• Stay up-to-date with SEO trends, AI content best practices, and algorithm changes

Requirements

• At least 1+ year of experience in SEO (agency experience strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of on-page SEO, keyword usage, and content structure
• Experience working with AI content tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar)
• Ability to edit and refine content to sound natural, engaging, and human
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
• Data-driven mindset with attention to detail
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog)
• Basic understanding of technical SEO
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS
• Experience working across multiple clients or industries

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
