We are looking for a technically skilled and strategically minded SEO Executive to join our extended digital team via an external partner. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technical SEO, experience with enterprise CMS platforms (Magento, Adobe AEM), and a forward-thinking mindset to integrate AI-powered SEO practices. This is a hands-on, data-driven role with growing ownership over SEO governance, cross-functional alignment, and strategic delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Ownership Layer

Translate the global SEO roadmap into actionable local deliverables across multiple markets.

Validate and challenge agency recommendations for technical soundness, efficiency, and alignment with company's SEO strategy.

Ensure close collaboration with Paid Media, Content, and Analytics teams to drive holistic digital visibility.

Act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, helping shape SEO priorities and execution plans.
Technical SEO & CMS Execution

Execute technical SEO tasks including metadata optimization, schema markup, image alt text maintenance, and internal linking improvements.

Manage small-scale SEO-related updates within Magento and Adobe AEM, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.

Conduct SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and Google Search Console, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Governance & Standardization

Define and maintain SEO standards (e.g., naming conventions, metadata templates, schema consistency, link governance).

Support cross-market alignment and ensure consistency in reporting and implementation.

Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and digital governance policies.
AI-Optimized SEO (AIO) Integration

Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Conductor, Similarweb) to identify keyword opportunities, content gaps, and technical issues at scale.

Support programmatic SEO initiatives such as scalable landing pages and store locator content.

Use AI to deliver predictive insights on visibility trends and adapt on-page strategies to evolving search engine behaviors (e.g., SGE).

Stay informed on developments in AI search and generative SEO to future-proof BAT’s organic strategy.
Reporting & Analysis

Monitor organic performance metrics and SEO health scores; contribute to dashboards using Power BI.

Track KPIs such as organic traffic growth, share of search, and technical SEO compliance.

Align SEO reporting with Workfront workflows and ensure visibility across teams.
Required Skills & Experience

Minimum
3 years of experience
in SEO, preferably with a focus on technical SEO and CMS-based implementations.
