Job Description:

Matlay is looking for a passionate and driven SEO Intern with 6–8 months of hands-on experience in search engine optimization. This is a great opportunity to build real-world experience and work on live projects that impact rankings, visibility, and organic traffic.

You’ll be working closely with our marketing and content team to help optimize website performance, monitor SEO metrics, and implement strategies that boost our online presence.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-page and off-page SEO audits
• Optimize website content, meta tags, and structure
• Conduct keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
• Create and manage backlink strategies
• Track keyword rankings and website analytics
• Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates
• Collaborate with content writers to ensure SEO best practices
• Prepare SEO performance reports

Requirements:

• 6–8 months of practical SEO experience (internship, freelance, or agency work)
• Basic understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Passion for digital marketing and continuous learning
