Core Responsibilities

The day-to-day work of an SEO professional is diverse and dynamic. Key responsibilities often include:

  • Strategy Development: Creating and executing comprehensive SEO strategies to achieve business goals, such as increasing organic traffic, leads, and sales.
  • Keyword Research: Conducting in-depth research to identify valuable keywords and phrases that target audiences are using. This involves analyzing search volume, competition, and user intent.
  • On-Page SEO: Optimizing website content and structure. This includes:
  • Writing compelling meta titles and descriptions.
  • Optimizing header tags (H1, H2, etc.).
  • Improving internal linking.
  • Optimizing images with alt text.
  • Ensuring content is high-quality, relevant, and addresses user needs.
  • Technical SEO: Ensuring a website is easily accessible and crawlable by search engines. This can involve:
  • Improving site speed and performance.
  • Fixing crawl errors and broken links.
  • Implementing schema markup.
  • Optimizing for mobile-friendliness.
  • Managing XML sitemaps and robots.txt files.
  • Off-Page SEO: Building a website's authority and credibility. This primarily involves:
  • Developing and executing link-building strategies.
  • Conducting outreach to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable sources.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Tracking, measuring, and analyzing SEO performance. This requires:
  • Using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other third-party SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz).
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) like organic traffic, keyword rankings, bounce rate, and conversion rates.
  • Creating and presenting clear, actionable reports to stakeholders.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitoring competitors' SEO strategies to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithm changes, industry trends, and SEO best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in an SEO role, candidates need a blend of technical and soft skills.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).
  • Understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO principles.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., content, development, marketing) and explain complex concepts to clients or stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: The capacity to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Adaptability: The SEO landscape is constantly changing, so a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness is crucial for tasks like technical audits and on-page optimization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
