Cornerstone Healing Center is a nationally recognized behavioral health provider headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. We combine evidence-based clinical care with compassion and connection to help individuals and families recover from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

As we continue to grow both our in-person and virtual programs across Arizona and expand into new out-of-state markets, we are focused on strengthening our digital foundation. The SEO Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that Cornerstone’s online presence reaches, informs, and engages the people who need our services most.

As Cornerstone expands across Arizona and into new regions, the SEO Specialist will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead new state-level SEO strategies and multi-location optimization.
  • Build and manage partnerships for link-building and content syndication.
  • Grow into an SEO Manager or Digital Strategy Specialist role as the marketing department evolves.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape Cornerstone's long-term digital presence and brand authority.

Position offers up to a 5% performance bonus.

JOB SUMMARY: The SEO Specialist is responsible for improving Cornerstone’s visibility, authority, and performance across organic search channels. This role executes on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies, while partnering with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure unified messaging and data alignment across all digital touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative — fluent in technical SEO but equally comfortable shaping content and brand strategies that build credibility, trust, and discoverability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve crawl, indexing, and site performance issues.
  • Optimize on-page elements such as metadata, structured data, schema, internal linking, and accessibility tags.
  • Manage ongoing keyword research, search trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform content development.
  • Collaborate with the content and design teams to ensure new pages and campaigns are optimized for both users and search engines.
  • Support content optimization for blogs, landing pages, and program materials to align with SEO best practices and brand tone.
  • Oversee local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profiles, NAP consistency, and local backlinks.
  • Monitor and analyze organic performance data using GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to share insights, track lead attribution, and align SEO performance with overall funnel goals.
  • Develop and maintain monthly reporting dashboards summarizing rankings, traffic, and conversion metrics.
  • Stay current on algorithm updates, evolving best practices, and emerging SEO technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 Years of hands-on experience in SEO and digital content optimization.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
  • Experience with WordPress or Webflow and basic understanding of HTML/CSS.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategy.

  • Familiarity with content marketing and UX principles to balance SEO with brand voice and readability.
  • Understanding of local and national SEO strategies for multi-location or service-based organizations.
  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, or other compliance-sensitive industries preferred.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):

  • Organic conversion rates (inquiries and admissions).
  • Keyword ranking improvements for priority service lines and states.
  • Organic conversion rates (inquiries and admissions).
  • Technical site health metrics (Core Web Vitals, crawl errors, site speed).
  • Quality and quantity of backlinks and local directory accuracy.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED

  • Familiarity with HIPAA, ADA, and ethical considerations in health-related content.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload and manage deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain and demonstrate ethical professional standards and demeanor, including the confidentiality of employee and patient data, and other sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated competence with, and continued commitment to respect for cultural differences and diversity, protecting patient rights.
  • Recognition of the limits of one’s own professional expertise and the willingness to seek supervision and/or support, as needed: and
  • Has completed all the requirements above including the ability to pass background checks required by Cornerstone Healing Center.
  • Knowledge of Twelve Step Recovery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
