- We are looking for a data-driven SEO Specialist to manage search engine optimization for our organization. Your primary goal is to increase the organic traffic to our website (WordPress) by improving our ranking on Google for specific, high-value keywords. You will be responsible for on-page content optimization, technical site health, and building authority through backlinks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Keyword Strategy & Research
- Identify high-opportunity "Long-Tail" keywords that drive relevant traffic (not just volume).
- Map keywords to specific pages to avoid "keyword cannibalization" (confusing Google).
- Monitor competitor rankings and identify gaps in their content strategy.
2. On-Page Optimization (Content)
- Optimize new and existing blog posts and pages using tools like Yoast SEO or RankMath.
- Write and optimize HTML tags (Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, H1/H2 Headers).
- Ensure content answers "User Intent" (answering the questions users are actually asking).
3. Technical SEO (Site Health)
- Conduct monthly site audits to fix broken links (404 errors) and crawl issues.
- Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and loads quickly (Core Web Vitals).
- Manage the XML Sitemap and Robots.txt files to ensure Google bots can read the site.
4. Off-Page SEO (Authority Building)
- Develop strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable websites in our niche (Education/Technology).
- Monitor the company’s backlink profile to disavow toxic/spammy links.
5. Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor traffic performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console.
- Provide monthly reports on keyword rankings, organic traffic growth, and conversion rates.
