Responsibilities:
Develop and execute advanced SEO strategies for eCommerce websites, specifically within the apparel and jackets industry, with a primary focus on the USA market.
Conduct comprehensive keyword research, including long-tail and transactional keywords, utilizing tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Keyword Planner to drive organic traffic.
Optimize product and category pages by implementing advanced on-page SEO tactics, including semantic keyword optimization, content clustering, and content gap analysis.
Implement technical SEO best practices for large product catalogs, such as XML sitemaps, canonical tags, structured data (Schema.org), and product markup for rich snippets.
Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify keyword opportunities, assess gaps in content, and develop strategies to surpass competitors in the US apparel market.
Optimize for mobile-first indexing, ensuring the site is fully optimized for mobile devices, including responsive design, fast load times, and AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages).
Execute technical audits, identifying and fixing issues related to crawlability, indexability, page speed, URL structure, 301/302 redirects, and other site-wide SEO factors using Google Search Console and Screaming Frog.
Develop and manage link building campaigns, ensuring high-quality backlinks through outreach, guest posts, and relationship building with high-authority apparel and lifestyle sites.
Monitor and report on SEO performance, track KPIs such as organic traffic growth, keyword rankings, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and revenue impact using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and SEMrush.
Collaborate with the content, development, and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated throughout the entire eCommerce workflow, including product page optimization, content creation, and on-site UX/UI enhancements.
Requirements:
2+ years of proven experience in eCommerce SEO, with a strong focus on optimizing large-scale apparel or jackets product catalogs.
Expertise in technical SEO including site audits, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonicalization, structured data markup, and page speed optimization.
In-depth knowledge of Product Hunting, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Merchant, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other advanced SEO tools for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
Proven experience optimizing on-page SEO for eCommerce platforms like Shopify, Woo Commerce, or Magento, with a focus on product page optimization, URL structure, and metadata.
Familiarity with eCommerce SEO tactics, including faceted navigation, product filters, pagination SEO, and site architecture to improve crawl efficiency and site indexing.
Strong understanding of mobile SEO principles, including responsive design and optimizing for Core Web Vitals.
Experience with CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) and aligning SEO efforts with the sales funnel and user journey for higher revenue.
Ability to stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates (Core Web Vitals, BERT, E-A-T), and industry best practices to continuously improve strategies.
