We are seeking an experienced SEO Strategist who can independently plan, execute, and manage end-to-end SEO strategies for Canadian and US clients. This role requires strong expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, site audits, keyword research, analytics setup, and issue resolution, along with the ability to provide actionable recommendations and measurable ranking improvements.
The ideal candidate understands traditional SEO and modern AI-driven search (GEO – Generative Engine Optimization) and can align SEO efforts with business goals and content strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive SEO site audits (technical, on-page, and content)
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues (crawlability, indexing, site speed, Core Web Vitals, schema, mobile usability)
- Diagnose and fix issues related to Google Search Console / Webmaster Tools
- Manage sitemap, robots.txt, canonical, redirects, broken links, and duplicate content
- Perform in-depth keyword research aligned with search intent and business goals
- Map keywords to pages and define content opportunities
- Identify gaps and opportunities vs competitors
- Support local, national, and eCommerce SEO strategies
- Create and optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking structures
- Optimize existing pages for relevance, UX, and conversions
- Ensure SEO best practices are followed during website builds and redesigns
- Monitor keyword rankings and site performance
- Investigate and resolve ranking drops or traffic anomalies
- Identify algorithm impact and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with developers to implement technical fixes
- Provide clear, actionable SEO recommendations to clients and internal teams
- Translate complex SEO findings into easy-to-understand insights
- Create SEO roadmaps aligned with monthly and quarterly goals
- Support long-term organic growth strategies
- Understand and apply AI-driven SEO and GEO strategies
- Optimize content and site structure for AI search engines and generative results
- Identify opportunities to improve brand visibility in AI-powered search responses
- Stay updated on evolving search algorithms and AI trends
- Work closely with Project Coordinators, developers, designers, and content teams
- Participate in client calls when needed to explain strategy and performance
- Ensure SEO requirements are communicated clearly during website development
- Strong experience in technical SEO and site audits
- Hands-on expertise with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and Tag Manager
- Proven ability to improve keyword rankings and organic traffic
- Experience resolving Webmaster / indexing issues
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and site architecture
- Ability to provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience working in a digital marketing agency
- Comfortable working in night-shift overlap with Canada/US teams
- Experience with eCommerce SEO (WooCommerce / Shopify)
- Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GSC, PageSpeed Insights
- Basic understanding of WordPress and development workflows
- Exposure to content strategy and CRO
- Successful execution of SEO audits and technical fixes
- Consistent ranking improvements and traffic growth
- Clear, data-driven SEO recommendations
- Timely reporting and proactive issue resolution
