SEO Team Lead / SEO Specialist – Chennai (Full-Time)

At Elephant in the Boardroom, we’re passionate about delivering impactful digital solutions to our global clients. As we expand our SEO team, we’re looking for a strategic and experienced SEO Team Lead who excels at driving organic growth, improving search rankings, and playing a key role in shaping our digital success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies across multiple client websites from diverse industries
• Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and technical SEO audits
• Optimize web content, landing pages, and blog posts to improve search engine visibility
• Implement technical SEO improvements such as page speed optimization, schema markup, and mobile usability
• Monitor SEO performance through tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Identify and lead link-building and outreach campaigns
• Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, designers, content writers, and project managers to implement SEO best practices
• Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry shifts
• Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver data-backed performance reports with actionable insights

Requirements:

• 4 to 7 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or performance-driven setting
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across various time zones
• Experience in handling international clients, with specific exposure to the Australian market considered a strong advantage
• Demonstrated success in working with multiple client industries such as Automobiles, Legal (Advocates), Ecommerce, Fintech, Healthcare, and more
• Proficient with top SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, GA4, GSC, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms like WordPress
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
