SEO Website Specialist – Contractor Opportunity

Project-Based: Website Migration + SEO Refinement & Implementation
Timeline: 4–6 weeks
Compensation: $2,000–$3,500 total project fee (depending on scope & experience)
Location: Hybrid
Reports to: Marketing Manager

Cyr Kitchen and Bath is looking for a SEO Website Specialist to assist with a website launch, refine and implement SEO across the entire website, and migrating the site to a new platform.

We are looking for someone who is able to:

• Finalize and launch a new Squarespace website
• Manage the full technical migration (DNS, redirects, GA4, Search Console)
• Review, refine, and implement the existing SEO build
• Ensure all tracking, analytics, and SEM landing pages continue functioning

This is a technical SEO + migration role, not a design role.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Migration & Launch

• Review the new Squarespace build and identify any launch-prep needs
• Build a complete URL redirect map
• Guide or execute DNS updates within GoDaddy
• Ensure no SEO loss during migration
• Test all forms, links, buttons, and tracking
• Verify the site meets technical SEO standards before launch
• Submit XML sitemap and ensure indexing in Google Search Console

On-Page SEO (Refinement + Implementation)

• Audit the current SEO keyword build
• Correct and refine metadata (titles, descriptions)
• Re-map keywords to our new site structure
• Improve clarity, accuracy, and ranking potential
• Adapt copy recommendations
• Add refined metadata into Squarespace
• Optimize all image alt text
• Build internal linking structure
• Optimize URL slugs
• Apply SEO best practices page-by-page
• Ensure all priority pages are optimized for ranking and conversions

Technical SEO Setup

• Reinstall GA4 on the new site
• Verify GA4 tracking across all pages
• Connect Google Search Console
• Submit and test the XML sitemap
• Fix any crawl or indexing issues
• Ensure correct canonical tags
• Remove/replace any tracking scripts
• Monitor SEO during the transition

SEM & Tracking (Light Support)

This is not a paid ads management role.
However, during migration, you will:

• Confirm SEM landing page URLs work
• Ensure UTM parameters remain intact
• Validate conversion tracking

Qualifications

• Strong background in technical SEO and website migrations
• Experience with Squarespace
• Experience transitioning off proprietary platform
• Understanding of local SEO for service-based businesses
• Proficiency with GA4 and Google Search Console
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly

Compensation

One-time project fee: $2,000–$3,500
(Dependent on number of pages, redirect complexity, and depth of SEO refinement)
