Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
• Accurately take orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and assisting with guest needs to ensure smooth flow of service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly.
• Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service that exceeds expectations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred; Bar or casual restaurant experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
