We’re currently looking for skilled, enthusiastic, and hospitality-driven Part-Time Servers to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, oceanfront environment, love connecting with guests, and take pride in delivering seamless, elevated service — this is your table.

What You’ll Do

As a Server at JRDN, you are the face of our restaurant and a key part of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

• Set up and maintain your assigned station according to JRDN standards at the start of each shift
• Complete all opening, running, and closing side work as assigned
• Provide a warm, professional greeting within one minute of guests being seated
• Guide guests through the menu with confidence — enthusiastically describing, recommending, and upselling food, beverage, and specialty offerings
• Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials
• Verify identification for guests ordering alcohol and practice responsible alcohol service
• Execute proper timing and sequence of service within your station
• Enter all food and beverage orders accurately into the POS system
• Deliver food promptly — ensuring dishes do not sit in the window
• Apply the “two bite/two minute” check-back to ensure guest satisfaction
• Present and merchandise dessert offerings at every table
• Accurately process payments and complete check settlement within company standards
• Complete accurate cash-out procedures at the end of shift
• Maintain composure and a sense of urgency during high-volume periods
• Support teammates and assist with additional tasks as directed by management

Due to the nature of hospitality, availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of server experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and spirits (coastal/California cuisine knowledge a plus)
• Understanding of safe and responsible alcohol service
• Have RBS and food handler’s certification or the ability to get it upon hire with company support
• Excellent verbal communication skills and polished presentation
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Bilingual is a plus due to many international guests
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Basic math and cash-handling proficiency
• Ability to stay calm and solution-focused under pressure
• A team-first mindset with a genuine passion for hospitality
