Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, guiding them through their dining options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Manage guest relations by responding promptly to requests, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with food preparation or bussing when needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements during busy hours.
• Support team members in maintaining a lively atmosphere in nightclub or bar settings by assisting with host/hostess duties when necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking efficiently.
• Experience with upselling techniques and sales-driven approaches to enhance guest experiences.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostessing, or cashiering is highly desirable.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Knowledge of food industry terminology and culinary experience is a plus for better guest engagement.
