Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and explain daily specials with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements for optimal flow
- Support guest relations by creating a welcoming atmosphere in various settings such as fine dining or nightlife venues
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is required, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations
- Experience with food preparation, bussing tables, or host/hostess roles is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in fast-paced environments such as restaurants or nightclubs
