Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using Toast POS systems, ensuring quick and efficient service
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and presentation
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Manage tables effectively by assisting with guest needs to maintain a smooth flow of service
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering functions, including cash handling and processing payments via Toast POS
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting food safety protocols and sanitation standards

Requirements

• At least 2 years prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or casual settings, is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to build guest relations
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with food industry operations including serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, and basic math for cash handling
• Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
