Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and openTable reservations efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
  • Assist with food preparation and food handling as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable reservation platforms
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience with serving techniques, bussing tables, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed
  • Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
