Duties

  • Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm and expertise
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and provide correct change using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools
  • Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
  • Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all visitors

Experience

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience in guest services roles like host/hostess or serving positions helps build excellent customer relations skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking across various responsibilities such as bussing, serving, and cashiering
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
