POSITION SUMMARY

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations accurately at the end of shifts
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
  • Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently
  • Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
  • Culinary experience or background in food preparation is advantageous
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
  • Demonstrated ability in sales techniques including upselling menu items effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the food industry
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
  • Experience with food handling, serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, and guest relations preferred
  • Basic kitchen experience or familiarity with food industry standards is beneficial

Requirements

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have valid US work authorization.
  • On occasion, may be required to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds; kneel, bend, ascend or descend stairs; reach and grasp objects.
