About Siena
Siena is a chef-driven *Meditalian* fusion restaurant blending the warmth of Mediterranean hospitality with the elegance and refinement of Italian dining. Our service style is polished, guest-focused, and experience-driven. We are preparing for our soft opening on **December 19**, and we are building a team that values professionalism, knowledge, and genuine hospitality.
Position Summary
Servers at Siena are responsible for delivering an elevated dining experience through knowledgeable service, warm hospitality, and precise execution. You will guide guests through our menu, crafted cocktails, wine selections, and specials while ensuring each table receives seamless, memorable service from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Hospitality
* Greet guests warmly and provide a professional, polished dining experience.
* Guide guests through our Meditalian food and handcrafted cocktail menu with confidence.
* Describe dishes, ingredients, and menu inspiration accurately and enthusiastically.
* Make thoughtful recommendations for food, cocktails, and wine pairings.
* Maintain attentive yet unobtrusive table service throughout the guest experience.
* Manage multiple tables effectively while upholding Siena’s service standards.
Service Execution
* Set up and break down tables before/after each shift (servers set, assistants support cleaning and breakdown).
* Buss tables when necessary and ensure tables are always reset promptly.
* Deliver food and beverages efficiently and correctly, ensuring proper course pacing.
* Handle cash and electronic payments following proper steps of service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in all server and guest areas.
Team Collaboration
* Work closely with hosts, bartenders, food runners, barbacks, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
* Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar regarding guest requests, allergies, and special accommodations.
* Support assistants with running food, refilling water, and crumbing tables when needed.
* Participate in daily lineup and be knowledgeable of all menu changes, 86’d items, specials, and events.
Menu Knowledge
* Maintain thorough knowledge of all food, wine, and cocktail offerings.
* Be familiar with allergens, ingredients, and preparation styles for all dishes.
* Stay updated on our evolving Meditalian concept and be able to explain it to guests confidently.
Professional Conduct
* Arrive on time and in a clean, pressed uniform.
* Maintain a composed, guest-first attitude at all times.
* Absolutely **no phone use** during service unless for work-related communication.
* Follow all Siena SOPs and health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
* Minimum 1–2 years of serving experience in upscale dining preferred.
* Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails (or willingness to learn through training).
* Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as needed.
* A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
