Server / Cheesemonger – Wedgewood Cheese Bar (Carrboro, NC)

Wedgewood Cheese Bar is a high-volume, wine-driven neighborhood spot focused on exceptional cheese, thoughtful wines, and genuinely warm hospitality. We’re not a traditional restaurant—we’re part bar, part retail shop, part educational space—and we’re looking for servers who can move seamlessly between all three.

Pay

• $7-$10/hour base + tip pool
• Average total earnings: $25–$36/hour
• Higher earnings during peak weekends and events

What You’ll Do

• Guide guests through our cheese, wine, and menu offerings with confidence and personality
• Deliver full-service hospitality at the bar and tables
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace
• Work collaboratively with a small, fast-moving team
• Handle high-volume service with composure and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in restaurants, wine bars, or specialty food retail preferred
• Strong people skills—you know how to read a table and meet people where they are
• Interest in wine and cheese (you don’t need to know everything—we’ll teach you)
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Availability for weekends and peak service hours

Schedule

• Part-time and full-time roles available
• Must be available Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays for special events
