Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing top-notch service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to manage time effectively and upsell menu items will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS .
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance the dining experience.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage guest checks with attention to detail.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with hosting duties as needed, welcoming guests and managing reservations through OpenTable.
Skills
- Strong background in food service with experience in fine dining or nightclub environments preferred.
- Proficient in using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for order processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Proven sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for managing checks and cash handling accurately.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/host roles is advantageous.
