Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Assist with food handling, sanitation, and basic food preparation tasks to support kitchen operations when needed
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, bussing as necessary, and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally
  • Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
  • Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management platforms is a plus
  • Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not required
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth service flow
