Duties

  • Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted.
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing, and support food preparation or kitchen staff as needed.
  • Ensure food safety standards are followed diligently, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly.
  • Support host/hostess duties when required by managing reservations and seating arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining settings.
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and cashiering.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
  • Culinary experience or background in food preparation is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
  • Previous host/hostess experience or serving roles that emphasize guest relations is a plus.

Pay: $15.15 - $50.00 per hour
