Please find job description below. Work experience is required. Looking for servers who can reliably work on weekend dinners at least. Position is available to start immediately.

For over 30 years, Sho Mi has been serving the Stockton neighborhood from the beautiful Lincoln Center. We serve casual, family-friendly Japanese cuisine including sushi, teriyaki, ramen, donburi, etc. for lunch and dinner.

- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

· Greet and respond to customers courteously with information about restaurant menu items, facilities, store hours, etc.

· Maintain tidy facilities and keep material prepared for speedy customer service.

· Help/serve diners at the tables to provide optimal dining experience.

· Work with the kitchen/sushi bar staff, in addition to the service team, to ensure proper communication and timely/accurate delivery of orders to customers.

· Ensure quality and accuracy of the order contents and packaging on all orders prior to going out to the customers.

· Help customers (in-person & over-the-phone) order and pay, and make sure order is correctly communicated via the POS system to the appropriate areas.

· Handle and store food, equipment, and inventory properly and in accordance with public health safety, state and local laws and company guidelines.

· Communicate any food quality, sanitation, inventory, equipment or maintenance issues to the MOD (manager on duty) and head chef ASAP.

- QUALIFICATIONS -

· Always punctual (on-time) and highly reliable.

· Restaurant service experience is strongly preferred.

· Experienced in serving large number of customers in a fast-paced environment.

· Familiarity with Japanese food and menu items.

· Good knowledge of food safety and handling standards.

· Excellent teamwork and communication.

· Able to think/work well under high pressure.

· Attention to customer service and speedy operation.

· Able & motivated to learn and improve quickly.
