Server Assistant

Job Overview
Roxa Desserts is searching for a Server Assistant for our new dessert bar in Hanahan, next to Cane Pazzo. This position is designed for weekend evenings as we offer a nightly dessert experience. You will assist our Front of House Manager in our personable, intimate dessert bar setting as we only offer 16 seats at a time and play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences! Your warmth and hospitality are valued highly to create the experience we are looking for. Our team is woman led and values respect and empathy in all areas of our restaurant. This transfers to creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for. If you are a dessert lover, this is even more of a bonus as we plate and interact with guests as Chef explains the desserts. Plus, we have free parking for employees. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations while contributing to a unique and intentional dining establishment in the Charleston area.

Duties

• Assist servers by clearing tables, filling waters, and resetting for new guests to ensure efficient service
• Interact with guests and show our high level of hospitality to guests
• Greet and seat guests as needed
• Operating Toast POS with checks or orders as needed
• Polish glasses and silverware
• Collaborate with team members to uphold guest services standards and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons
• Requirements
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of food handling safety practices and food safety regulations
• Experience with POS systems such as Toast is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
