Server for Brunch

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow during busy brunch hours
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bartenders
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, upsell specials and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or upscale brunch settings
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS; familiarity with Resy for reservations management is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations effectively
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy brunch hours without compromising service quality
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles within the food industry is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a bonus but not required; a passion for food industry knowledge is appreciated
