SERVER/ WAITRESS/ COUNTER

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated SERVER/WAITRESS/COUNTER to join our team at Millside Cafe. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, serving with attentive service, efficient order management, and a welcoming attitude! Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating, menu selection, and inquiries to ensure a positive first impression.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities!!!!!
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting smooth restaurant operations.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
• Assist with food handling, basic math calculations for bills, and food preparation tasks as needed.
• Support host/hostess duties during busy periods by managing reservations or waiting lists efficiently!!!

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS system
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing calculations, and inventory management are essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
