Duties
- Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure food safety compliance.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Support opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up or cleaning the bar area and dining space.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and payment processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that enhances guest interactions.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking seamlessly across duties.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales upselling techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous experience in serving, bartending, host/hostess roles or kitchen support is highly desirable to excel in this role.
