Server/Bartender

Job Overview
Providence Golf Club is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. We are located in Davenport, Florida so please make sure that you live within 30 minutes of the Club. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Server/Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, managing the bar area, serving guests in the restaurant and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately.
• Assist with banquet services as needed, ensuring timely service during events.
• Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
• Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and supplies; assist in ordering as necessary.
• Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle peak service periods effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or as a bartender is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of brewing techniques and cocktail recipes is beneficial.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor toward customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also managing individual responsibilities.
• Must possess strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
• Must be of legal drinking age in accordance with local laws.
