Job Title: Server/Bartender
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager
Pete Dye Golf Club is seeking a professional and personable Bartender/Server to provide exceptional food and beverage service to our members and guests. This role requires a high level of hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to create a welcoming, refined experience in a private club setting. This position combines both bartending and table service responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with club standards
- Take and serve food orders accurately and efficiently in the bar, dining room, and event areas
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and club events
- Pick-up and deliver food orders from the kitchen, making sure to communicate with the Chef regarding any special preferences or allergy information.
- Clear tables, prep for future service, and assist with setup, service, and teardown of all Club hosted special events.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service practices and verify identification when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and service area
- Process member charges, cash, and credit card transactions accurately
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, golf, and clubhouse staff
- Assist with private events, tournaments, banquets, and member functions
- Follow all health, safety, and club policies at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending and/or serving experience in a mid-range to high-end restaurant is required; private club experience a plus
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and tournament days
- Must meet legal requirements to serve alcohol
