George’s Bistro & Bar is an upscale Italian & Mediterranean restaurant with a strong focus on quality, hospitality, and a growing bar program. We’re looking for a bartender who wants more than just shifts—someone who takes ownership of the bar, brings creativity, and helps elevate the entire beverage program.
Position Overview:
This is not just a bartending role—it’s a Bar Lead opportunity. You’ll be responsible for executing great service behind the bar while also contributing to cocktail development, inventory management, and shaping our wine and beverage offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level bartending service in a fast-paced environment
- Create and develop new cocktails and seasonal features
- Assist in curating and evolving the wine list
- Order and manage inventory for liquor, wine, and beer
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and bar standards
- Ensure consistency in all drinks served
- Engage with guests and create a strong bar experience
- Collaborate with management on pricing, menu updates, and specials
- Help drive beverage sales and upsell effectively
Qualifications:
- 2+ years bartending experience
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine
- Interest in creativity and menu development
- Experience with inventory and ordering is a plus
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and guest engagement skills
