Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick turnaround times
  • Prepare and serve food items in accordance with safety and sanitation standards, including basic food handling and food safety protocols
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and sales totals
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with food preparation when needed to support kitchen staff and ensure timely service
  • Support the team with food industry best practices, including proper food handling and restaurant experience standards

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales upselling strategies
  • Experience with bussing tables, sanitation procedures, and general kitchen or café operations
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
  • Previous restaurant or retail experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
