Server/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server/Cashier to join our vibrant food service team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, efficient cashiering, and a thorough understanding of our menu offerings. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable dining moments for our guests while ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing guest needs promptly.
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order entry, billing, and cash handling.
  • Manage cash register transactions with precision, including processing payments via cash, credit cards, or digital methods like OpenTable.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning work stations, and adhering to food safety protocols in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed, demonstrating culinary knowledge and food handling skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient restaurant flow during busy hours, including supporting host/hostess duties when necessary.
  • Use your knowledge of fine dining service techniques to elevate the guest experience in upscale settings or nightclubs.
  • Support guest relations by addressing inquiries about menu items, specials, or reservations using platforms like OpenTable.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; familiarity with fine dining or nightclub settings is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
  • Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
  • Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail in order accuracy and guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques including upselling strategies to maximize revenue opportunities.
