Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
Process cash, credit card, and digital payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Assist with food preparation, food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
Clear tables promptly by bussing and resetting for new guests, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the dining area
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth restaurant operations
Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently in fine dining or nightclub settings
Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing waitlists and guiding guests to their tables

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including serving or cashiering roles
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential
Excellent basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
Experience working in fine dining or nightclub environments enhances your candidacy
Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to boost sales opportunities
