Server/Cashier

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Handle cashiering responsibilities including cash handling, processing payments, and giving change accurately
  • Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
  • Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Manage reservations and guest relations using platforms like OpenTable to ensure smooth seating flow
  • Follow all food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or nightclub setting
  • Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing guest seating and waitlist management

Skills

  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
  • Culinary experience or background in food preparation enhances service quality
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently during busy hours
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
  • Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or nightlife environments is highly desirable
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and kitchen staff
  • Guest relations experience to ensure memorable experiences for all patrons
