Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such Toast
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently with POS systems including OpenTable integration
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
• Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed, demonstrating culinary awareness and teamwork

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast and OpenTable for seamless order processing and cashiering
• Strong customer service skills with experience in food service or restaurant environments
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles preferred but not required
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Familiarity with food industry standards including food preparation, hospitality principles, and guest relations
