Server/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional food service in a quick service and fast food restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and experience with POS systems such as Aloha and Micros. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, food preparation assistance, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Prior restaurant or retail experience is preferred, along with strong multitasking abilities and knowledge of food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders using POS systems like Aloha or Micros
• Process cash, credit, and mobile payments efficiently while handling cash accurately
• Assist with food preparation and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations including bussing tables and sanitation duties
• Ensure proper food safety practices are followed according to health regulations
• Manage order accuracy and timely delivery of food to customers
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep tasks when needed during busy periods
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales, and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy hours
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bussing tables or light food prep
• Experience with quick service & fast food restaurant operations is advantageous
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment with good communication skills

Pay: $16.90 - $28.00 per hour
