B&D Burgers has been a family-owned and operated Savannah staple for decades. We are known for our fun and laid-back atmosphere and premium burgers. Our managers lead their teams through high-energy shifts and exceed guests' overall expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know they are there to take care of them.
  • Make recommendations that genuinely feel our guests will enjoy.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests; enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintain clean service areas.
  • Monitor and observe guests’ dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make a change (if applicable).
  • Assist fellow servers as situations arise.
  • Assist bussers with clearing and resetting tables.
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return

Qualifications

  • Proficient in POS systems, including Toast
  • Strong customer service and food handling skills
  • Previous experience in food service and the restaurant industry
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with fine dining and guest services is a plus
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing

Summary

As a Server, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. Reporting to the restaurant manager, you will utilize your core skills in POS systems, food handling, and restaurant experience to efficiently take orders and serve food. Your premium skills, including restaurant experience and time management, will enhance guest satisfaction and drive sales. With a focus on food safety and sanitation, you will contribute to a clean and welcoming atmosphere, making you a vital part of our team in a vibrant dining setting.
