Seeking servers for our clubhouse fine dining restaurants and our three-way restaurant/concession stand outside

Day shifts

Server Job Summary:

Responsible for taking member and guest orders for food or drink, making recommendations regarding the menu and proving information on daily features, in a courteous manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Promptly and professionally serve member and guest food and beverage orders ensuring quality and accuracy
Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage offerings
Practice FIFO method of inventory control

Check identification of members and guests in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol; Dispense alcohol consistent with State regulations.
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to members and guests excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to members and guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.

Responsible for keeping rooms set to standards
Maintain a safe, clean, organized and stocked work area
Maintain excellent communication with management regarding customer satisfaction, feedback.
Responsible for sending correct ticket orders to the kitchen
Ensure all billing is conducted correctly (member names and numbers)
Keep menus organized and presentable
Perform all opening and closing side work as required; Checklists
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
Ability to operate point-of-sale systems

Education Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old
Previous experience as a server preferred.
Basic Knowledge of wine pairings

Birchwood Farms Golf & Country Club is a private member owned association with approximately 900 members. We are located in beautiful Harbor Springs, a Northern Michigan treasure on the shore of Lake Michigan. Some of the amenities we offer our members include: 27 holes of golf, tennis, pickleball, and bocce courts, heated swimming pools, cross country skiing and walking trails, and a fitness center. Our dining experience offers a variety of dining rooms for a la carte, private and group events, and catering.
