Server/Waiter

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience, from taking orders to delivering food and drinks with precision and care.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Accurately input orders into the POS system (Aloha POS or Micros POS) and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in accordance with food safety standards.
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy restaurant environment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent guest services.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
• Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
• Culinary experience or fine dining experience is a plus.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Experience as a host/host or in guest relations can be beneficial.
