Service Coordinator

Job description

We are seeking a Service Coordinator to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• The primary function of this role is to act as the liaison between the service technicians and customers, collaborating with purchasing, accounting and the sales team.
• Answering phones for the Service Department as well as the main phone lines for the Norfolk branch.
• Respond immediately to customer inquiries/needs and provide positive, courteous service to customers
• Maintaining job folders/spreadsheets and ensure that service reports, documents, and certificates are uploaded in the software system
• Maintain service technicians’ schedules and calendar
• Responsible for ensuring that all projects are invoiced and closed
• Complete and submit service reports and records to/from required service database(s) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Mandatory daily lunch coverage of the front counter in our commercial kitchen equipment showroom.
• Partner with the Regional Service Manager to determine required hours, number of personnel, and parts and equipment required for service visits
• Report to the Norfolk Branch Manager for direction involving other needs of the business during downtime.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience as a coordinator in an office setting
• Previous experience in the HVAC and/or food service industry is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer systems
• Must be familiar with invoicing, order taking & processing
• Ability to communicate technical terms to a non-technical audience, including explaining completed work to the customer.
• Ability to maintain productivity in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
