Full Time, 7:30am-4:30pm or 8am-5pm, Full Benefits

Job Description:

The Service Coordinator will work cooperatively and fluently with the Service / Test & Inspection Department and within the organization to create an orderly and productive flow of existing and newly obtained business. The Service Coordinator will assist customers with their request for service as well as follow-up requirements. They will provide a full range of administrative support to the Service / Testing & Inspection Department. They will independently administer several assigned responsibilities, ensuring excellent customer service with positive results. This person will support multiple Technicians in the field.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of administrative, clerical and office support including, but not limited to the following.
  • Dispatch & manage multiple technician schedules
  • Prepare and coordinate incoming correspondence to customers for proposals and repairs required.
  • Provide clerical/administrative support, including composition and preparation of routine correspondence, technician paperwork, and presentations using Office 365, ProfitZoom, and other pertinent software applications
  • Maintain and distribute technicians’ daily schedules, necessary paperwork, and work orders.
  • Provide training to back-up personnel
  • Advise supervisor/management of any issues to ensure excellent customer service – internally and externally
  • Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries regarding products and services:
  • Handle incoming/outgoing calls for service requests regarding fire alarm & security systems
  • Maintain solid, long-term customer relationships by handling their questions and concerns with speed, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Perform data entry accurately and a time-sensitive manner in all pertinent applications
  • Troubleshoot customer problems/concerns using job/computer knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including proactive communication with customers and clients via phone, email, and regular mail
  • Manage database records regularly and accurately

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in service industry-oriented field
  • 3 years office administrative - customer-service focused
  • Entry/maintenance of service/accounting database/software
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented, independent worker with excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills, quick and accurate data entry
  • Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Word, and Excel

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime is possible

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Required Experience:

  • Customer service: 3 years (Required)
  • Dispatching: 3 years (Required)
  • Administrative: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Word: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Outlook: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person - Elmhurst, IL

Compensation: This role offers hourly compensation based on experience, ranging from $22-24 per hour.
