Description

Service Engineer– Product Refurbishment & Field Support will play a critical role in maintaining product quality and reliability. The position involves equipment refurbishment, repair, installation, spare harvesting, and on-site technical support as needed. This is a hands-on technical role requiring mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, along with a strong sense of quality and safety.

Role

• Refurbishment & Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and refurbish returned or used fitness equipment (treadmills, cross trainers, bikes, etc.) to make them customer-ready.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and aesthetic repairs to restore full functionality and brand appearance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks on all refurbished equipment.
• Spare Harvesting: Identify reusable components from scrapped or damaged units.
• Test, label, and safely store harvested spares for reuse to optimize cost and inventory.
• Field Support (as required): Visit customer gyms or homes for installation, repair, or inspection when additional support is required.
• Ensure timely closure of field jobs with quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Operational Support: Maintain accurate logs of refurbishment work, spares used, and testing outcomes.
• Follow safety protocols, PPE usage, and warehouse hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, customer support, and service teams to ensure efficient workflow and minimal turnaround time (TAT).
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years in gym equipment service, refurbishment, or technical maintenance.
• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Familiarity with control boards, motors, belts, sensors, and mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency in hand and power tools.
• Good communication and time management.
• Willingness to travel for on-site service calls.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (preferred).
• Certifications: OEM service training or related certifications are an added advantage.
