Service Engineer – Medical Devices (Omani National)

Job Purpose:

To provide technical service support for installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission medical devices and equipment at client sites.
• Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance visits.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and technical updates.
• Maintain accurate service records and prepare service reports.
• Provide on-site user training and technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Support sales and tender teams with technical input when required.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and health & safety regulations.
• Stay updated with new technologies and product developments.

Job Specification (JS)

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Experience:

• Entry-level position (Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of experience).

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of medical devices and hospital equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
• Good computer literacy (MS Office, service reporting tools).
• Willingness to travel for on-site service calls and training.

Other Requirements:

• Omani National only.
• Possession of a valid Omani driving license is an advantage.
• Willingness to undergo product training locally and internationally.
