GFC for Energy Services is a leading provider of Oil & Gas and Energy service solutions, headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with operational presence across the MENA region and Europe.

We specialize in rotating and static equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for major energy operators and EPC contractors.


Role Overview

The Service Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the execution of projects across multiple international locations. This role oversees daily field operations, resource planning, budgeting, and performance delivery to meet client expectations and company standards.

The role is based in Cairo, Egypt and requires frequent travel to project sites globally (up to 6 months per year) – Hybrid Remote work policy.


Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day project operations, managing programs, budgeting, and ensuring efficient project delivery within the Energy services sector.
  • Act as focal point in site execution.
  • Responsible for resources assigning and utilization managing ( Technicians, Specialists and Field Engineers)
  • Develop and execute short and long-range resource plans based on resource forecasts and region business commitments including recruitment, skills reviews, and resource development through advance level training.
  • Interfacing with customers, sales, project management and integrated services to coordinate appropriate technical resources when and where required.
  • Promote and ensure compliance to company and regulatory HSE & Quality requirements.



Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Overall 10 to 12 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas / Energy sectors services is a must
  • Previous experience of rotating equipment especially gas turbines/compressors is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in related role / managerial position is essential.
  • Willing to Travel to site locations ( up to 5 months per year )
  • Arabic and English fluency spoken and written


Mandatory Technical requirements:

  • Full knowledge of major/minor outages, preparations, required resources and excellence.
  • Hands-on experience with Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines (GE / NP brands preferred) including Major Overhauls.
  • Practical experience executing Maintenance for Centrifugal and Reciprocating Gas Compressors (GE / NP brands preferred) .
  • Strong technical knowledge of Aero-Derivative Gas Turbines (hands-on execution experience is a plus).
  • Good technical understanding of Steam Turbines (hands-on experience is advantageous).
  • Broad understanding of rotating equipment maintenance , including pumps, motors, and generators.


Mandatory Managerial and PM requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as project manager for maintenance, construction/installation/upgrade projects.
  • Strong experience managing the project scope, cost control, budget, schedule, coordinating resources, monitoring progress and reporting.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as people manager and team leading.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing tight timeline or budget or resources while maintaining safety and quality, Conflict resolution and team motivation skills.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing site teams.
  • Demonstrate solid stakeholder management experience
