Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Manager to lead our Electric Vehicle (EV) service operations. The role requires managing the workshop, ensuring high-quality service delivery, leading a team of technicians, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction while adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the EV service department/workshop.
- Supervise and lead service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure proper diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of EV vehicles as per OEM standards.
- Monitor service quality, turnaround time (TAT), and customer satisfaction scores (CSI).
- Manage spare parts availability, stock, and ordering as per requirements.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and provide effective resolutions.
- Conduct regular training for service staff on EV technology and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturer policies.
- Maintain service records, MIS reports, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with the sales team for service promotions, AMC, and warranty claims.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- Proven experience in automobile service operations (EV service experience preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of EV systems, diagnostics, and service processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented approach with ability to handle escalations.
- Proficiency in service management software/ERP is an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of EV charging infrastructure, battery management systems, and safety protocols.
- Experience in warranty claim processing and service documentation.
- Ability to train and mentor service staff on EV technologies.
