Please note, EMPLOYEE HOUSING on property is FULL and unavailable to new team members joining our team. Eligible employees can qualify for housing after 90 days of employment.

OVERVIEW As Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring general operations of the lodge and restaurant run smoothly on a daily basis. Your role will be cross trained in all positions, making you a valued and essential part of the team who can contribute to any department in need. Working closely with our leadership team, you will inspire and encourage staff members to execute their job duties at a high level. As a manager on our leadership team, you will be a key contributor to the culture, comradery, and building the future of Red Canyon Lodge.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and monitoring the mainstream platforms that power Red Canyon Lodge including ThinkReservations, ToastPos, At&t Office @ Hand, and Google Office.
  • Communicate with guests in person, on the phone, and through the online systems regarding all reservations, future bookings, amenities, and property details. Maintain the Red Canyon Lodge information email account and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Manage and support all team members. Ensure feedback is listened to and acknowledged while properly documenting any guest or employee related issues.
  • Manage and assist leadership team on a daily basis while rotating through all departments, depending on fluctuating volume levels and staffing needs. This includes supporting the lodge gift shop and front desk, restaurant front of house, culinary team, housekeeping, maintenance, and our wranglers. This position is constantly flexing around the business and its needs.
  • Manage cash deposits and daily employee drops noting any fluctuations and inconsistencies in cash handling
  • Familiarize yourself with opening and closing procedures to ensure consistency in all departments
  • Manage and support all daily lodge operations including and assessing all housekeeping, gift shop, restaurant, and maintenance needs.
  • Observe and contribute to all departments' growth and development. Notice details from all guest and associate perspectives while putting the best interest of the business forward.
  • Attend and participate in weekly leadership meetings where the team will collaborate on ideas, create solutions to current issues, and share any other lodge and staff related updates.
  • Assist fellow leadership team and ownership in all aspects of business including marketing, promoting, training, team building, and overall successful operations of the lodge.
  • Support culinary team and all associates of Red Canyon, assessing needs and providing feedback while promoting growth and encouraging success of our associates.
  • Must be 21 years of age and have a current Utah Food Handlers and a Utah ServeSafe Alcohol permit. Also must complete Utah Management course for Alcohol Handling.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Due to our remote location, we require all associates to have their own vehicle
  • All our positions require our associates to be physically able including lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, walking long distances on rough grounds, as well as navigating both the lodge staircase and cabin stairs daily.
  • Able to commit to season dates and regulations regarding employment.
  • As we are seasonally based, all holidays and special events could be mandatory for associates. Time off requests must be submitted a month in advance for any requests longer than two consecutive work days. Time off is encouraged for our staff to familiarize themselves with the area.
  • Ease of conversation skills while interacting with guests and can share familiarity of Red Canyon with confidence.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with fellow associates
  • Diligent and efficient at time management and punctual for shifts.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in guest services and customer service.
  • Flexibility regarding positions and duties including ability to solve problems and adapt to circumstances.

COMPENSATION $18-22 hourly, housing expenses included, opportunities for advancement are offered within the company during the season based on performance and management feedback

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
